Complex Palate & Aromas
Limited Stock Available - 100 Cases
Single Vineyard Shiraz 2012 displays an intensely deep rich purple colour with aromas of ripe mulberries and plums. A generously proportioned mid palate of earthiness and black pepper with top notes of cedar and mocha leads to a lengthy finish, well balanced by soft fine grained tannins. Single Vineyard Coonawarra Shiraz 2012 was picked at optimum berry ripeness and fermented in a small static fermenter. After seven days the wine was pressed off skins and transferred to barrel -30% new tight grained American oak for maturation. Over time, the oak flavours integrate fully with the wine both softening and adding complexity to the bouquet and palate.
Winery & Region
Coonawarra meaning “Honeysuckle” in aboriginal is one of the world’s most famous wine regions, centred in the Limestone Coast Zone of South Australia. It has been a part of Australia’s wine regions for over 120 years. Best known for its Cabernet Sauvignon, with its vines grown in Terra Rossa soil that influences the vine vigour, ripeness and wine flavour.
